The workshop of the EuroTextilRegion cause keen interests in the middle of the happening of the fair. Within the scope of the latest COMFORTEX the second international workshop of the EuroTextilRegion took place. On the subject ”chances of border crossing cooperation of producers, merchandise and research” experts of textile industry from Germany, Czech Republic and Poland were discussing about deepening the cooperation relations that started in 2000. Vti-manager Rainer Merkel thanked the Leipzig fair for supporting the workshop and referred that the forthcoming EU – enlargement in may 2004 will contribute a market growth of approximately 3Mrd. € just in the sector of home and house textiles. In the three-country region of Germany, Czech Republic and Poland on of the most important textile region of Europe will be established. For the first time the Quelle AG took part in an conference of the EuroTextilRegion. Karl-Heinz Langhansl, purchasing manager for home and house textiles from the Quelle AG visited many booths of the COMFORTEX afterwards.
